About Francisco Quinteiro Pires

Francisco Quinteiro Pires is a Brazilian journalist. He lives in the USA since 2010. His home is New York City. Before moving from Brazil, he worked at CULT magazine and at the newspapers Destak and O Estado de S. Paulo. In 2010, he traveled by RV and visited about 39 American states, besides Mexico and Canada. With the journalist Mila Burns, Francisco reported the stories of the Brazilians immigrants to Planeta Brasil, a show for the network TV Globo Internacional. Francisco was the cameraman of that successful project. At the same time he did write stories for O Estado de S. Paulo. Nowadays he writes for Folha de S. Paulo, Valor Econômico, Carta Capital, Cult, Revista Brasileiros e Superinteressante. He works as a cameraman for TV Globo, GloboNews and Multishow. He is the owner of Gumbo Media, a production media company.
